The Light Dawns

Look ma! No wires! This light bulb comes on when our model Caitlin simply holds it in her hands. Will wonders never cease?! I shot this with my modeling lights...my powerful strobes would have overwhelmed the weak light coming from the light bulb and you wouldn't have been able to tell that it was lit.

The Blue Salon

This is one of the front main rooms at Dean Gardens. Again we were blessed with natural light coming through a glass wall.

The Silver Bedroom

One of the walls in this sitting room is made entirely of glass, so we began our lighting plot with great natural lighting. You can see into the Silver Bedroom which is one of the bedrooms on the main floor of Dean Gardens.

Moroccan Hallway

The Moroccan Hallway inside Dean Gardens was such an interesting area to photograph. Lots of details to work out on this shot, including hiding behind a black cloth while we took the photograph, so that our reflections weren't seen in the mirror at the end of the hallway.

Dean Gardens

I was very fortunate to be able to spend some time inside Dean Gardens photographing architecture. Thank you, Larry, for your hospitality! You were so generous with us...allowing us to spend several days photographing various areas of your stately home.

Tomb of The Unknown Soldier

The dedication of these guards will bring tears to your eyes. The duty they perform is sacred to the memory of all our fallen soldiers who lie in unmarked graves in distant places. These men have paid the ultimate sacrifice by laying down their lives for our country.

The "Paws" That Refreshes

This handsome fellow was taking a quick drink at a busy dog park in New York City. I couldn't resist getting a shot of him pausing to refresh himself on a hot day.

What's This???? A HORSELESS CARRIAGE?

What a sight to see as this motorist came sputtering out of the woods!  Not something you'd see on I-285.  Or would you???

Back in Time

We were magically transported back to Colonial times at Wormsloe Plantation in Savannah. Usually nothing much greets you except a few ruins and gorgeous scenery. Not the case when we were there! It was colonial reenactment weekend, and we were treated to what it was like to live in the days when Savannah was still a young city!

The infinite patience and kindness they show to us as they help us color correct, edit, and navigate through the Commercial Photography program helps us immeasurably. I am so grateful to you guys for sharing your knowledge with us, and just being who you are. John's great sense of humor has kept us laughing... no matter how tired we are! We appreciate you guys so much!

We are honored that Gwinnett Technical Institute was chosen to be a location for a filmed interview with renowned portrait photographer Mr. Gregory Heisler. Mr. Heisler counts over 70 Time Magazine covers among his many photographic achievements. White and Light

I loved the play of light on this dewy white camellia. I shot this with my macro lens on a foggy morning in South Carolina.

The Music

One of the joys of Central Park is that you can hear amazingly talented musicians playing for free. This young lady was a joy to listen to, and made a glorious afternoon in the park even more perfect.

To Find Your Prince...

Sometimes you have to kiss a lot of toads. This woman bought hers in New York's Chinatown district for the simple pleasure of letting him go. He escaped becoming "frog legs on a plate". For now at least.

One Little, Two Little....

Three Little Piggies..."hamming it up" and doing a little shopping in the Meat Packing District of New York. One last shopping spree and then...BACON!!!!

The Wish

What is it that has caught the imagination of this little one? Is there something she sees out there that she wants as part of her life? Or is she letting her imagination conjure up all sorts of wonderful scenes?

The Lesson

I caught this moment between a father and son in Central Park in New York. I love the fact that you can't really see their faces...it allows this shot to be about all fathers and sons and the skills passed on from one generation to the next.
